Insured Patients
I am recognised by the following major health insurance companies in the UK and a few overseas medical insurers:
If your healthcare insurance is not listed above, please speak to my PA, Julie Cook.
Insured Patients must obtain authorisation from their insurance company for the consultation prior to the visit. We are not able to obtain this for you. Some health insurers insist on a referral letter from your GP in order to cover an appointment with a specialist. The referral can be sent to me in advance or you can bring a copy with you to your initial appointment.
It is recommended that you check the policy terms of your health insurance with your insurer before attending your appointment to ensure you have sufficient cover, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees. Please note you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer. Your insurance policy may also be subject to an excess (e.g. the first £100 on any claim), which you will need to be prepared to pay yourself during the treatment period.
Prior to your consultation your will be asked to provide:
Insurer Name
Policy Number
Pre-authorisation Number
Julie will be in touch with you either by telephone or email prior to the appointment to obtain the details above so that fees can be claimed directly from your healthcare provider.
Self-funding Patients
Your treatment can be available on a self-funding basis.
Self-paying patients are required to settle their bill on the day of treatment either by cash/cheque or electronic transfers.
Consultations can be invoiced upon authorisation by your consultant.
I do not have the facility to take debit/credit cards
